New website, new CD—and more

As you may have noticed, we have a new website!! (Yay!!)  …and we have a NEW CD (Yay, Yay, Yay!!!)  The new CD “M-U-S-I-C” and the new website share a lot of the same colors. And in our new design, Scrappy has even grown up – well, she’s a tweener now! Have you noticed that Scrappy is saying “I LOVE YOU” in sign language?

Thanks to all of you who voted in our summer CD cover contest. Your thoughts and opinions definitely decided the new look and direction, so we appreciate your votes. You’ll notice as you toggle through the pages that all of the animals from the CD are included in the website. Which reminds me…I never explained why I chose which animals are drawn on the CD cover. The reason is because each of those animals is mentioned somewhere in a song. There are dinosaurs, dogs, birds and even a gila monster. Kids, can you pick out which song has which animals? You’ll have to put your listening ears on for this challenge.

Also, we’re going to be posting instructional videos that will show you sign language interpretations for some common songs, poems, cultural touchstones, like the Girl Scout Promise, the Pledge of Allegiance, etc. We’re looking forward to that.

I’m also planning on instructional videos to show you how to play some of my songs on the guitar. I will try to release these on a regular basis, so you’ll have lots of new stuff to check out.

Please let us know what you think about the new website. Also, let me know if you have any particular songs of mine you’d like to learn how to play or other topics you’d like to hear about.

Yours in music,
Nina
